Fundraising and how you can help

Our group of churches rely greatly on help and support from the community. We hold fund raising events throughout the year. If you could help by donating to our funding please click on one of the churches to find out more and visit our GoldenGiving page

‘Jesus said, ‘Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these’.

Matthew 19:14

Churches can often seem daunting places. Here in the Severnside Parishes we want you to enjoy a warm welcome so that you can relax and try to make yourself at home.

We love the faith of children. It’s a can-do faith and children possess an enthusiasm that inspires and encourages. We invite their innocence and enthusiasm into our churches.

As Isaiah noted, sometimes a ‘little child will lead them’. (Isaiah 11:6)

Children can remind us of what’s important. Faith doesn’t have to be stale or static, but it can be dynamic and filled with wonder. Yes - children will make a mess and have mishaps – But we don’t worry about it and we don’t want you to either!

All of our congregations aspire to be  communities rooted in a philosophy that recognises children matter to God and that they have an equal place in the family of the Church. Our young ones remind us of the way many adults used to be: carefree, innocent, exuberant, risky, and unconcerned about failures.

We want to use our resources to energize an exciting and powerful faith in children. Even before they can ‘understand’ what is happening in church, tiny children can absorb the mystery, joy, awe and wonder of worship. Their experience should be a positive one that will last a life time.

We have lots of activities for our younger members all of which are based upon fun, friendship and very often food. We hope that you will be able to joins us at oen of our regular groups or special events.
